My name is Carrie Diann Rectenwal (formerly Kooistra), and I am not a professional photographer or writer by any means. I'm a psychiatric nurse and a massage therapist by trade, and both photography and poetry are lifelong hobbies (since about age 5/6) that got way too out of control.
No one is surprised.
This website is where I have decided to showcase both my favorite photos that I have taken throughout the years, as well as poetry as it gets published in various media. I don’t really do writing commissions, however if you are interested in my services as an amateur photographer, feel free to contact me for events, portraits, or whatever! I don’t have any formal photography training, but I always love the opportunity to practice taking new photos.
